Beginners Stained Glass Courses
(Traditional Lead Work)

Evening Class - Thursdays 6.30pm – 9.00pm
This course runs for five weeks and costs £100.00. There is an option to stay on to complete further work, additional sessions are charged at £20.00 per session

Morning Class - Wednesdays 10.00am – 12.30pm
This course runs for five weeks and costs £100.00. There is an option to stay on to complete further work, additional sessions are charged at £20.00 per session

Both of these courses are designed for beginners who want to learn the traditional methods used to create a leaded stained glass window. Learners will be guided through all stages of the process, 
the use of cartoons (patterns), glass cutting, leading, soldering and cementing
By the end of the course each learner will have completed one or more small stained glass panels in clear glass. 
(Coloured glass is available to buy)

Courses are limited to groups of five so attention is ensured. Demonstration, group and individual instruction and hands on experience are all used for teaching during the course.

The day and evening course are rolling programmes so learners can join the sessions as space becomes available.

If you are interested in attending a two day course and are not local we have an excellent Bed and Breakfast a few minutes walk across the village green which is surrounded by beautiful traditional cottages.
The Old Bakery offers a friendly relaxed place to stay, whilst the Village pub The Crown serve delicious lunches and evening meals.

The village church St Mary Magdalene has some stunning stained glass widows and is open to the public. There are many other fantastic church windows in the local area that are worth visiting, as well as the historic towns of Diss and Harleston.
